Pink

[Updated: Added captions and links to previous blog posts.]

I've been thinking about creating a banner for the blog which I can use for "branding" opportunities such as calling cards. I want to create a composite image from my photographs which recreates the rainbow of curtains across the front of the house.

The original design for the gay pride flag had eight colors: pink, red, orange, yellow, green, blue, indigo, and purple. (Only a gay man would insist on including "indigo" in the rainbow!) My first task is to collect photographs for each color. This is the first installment: Pink.

Great idea, and great photos.

As a newcomer to the blog, I appreciated the link back to your earlier posts about the house and garden. I like the idea of an heirloom garden in particular.

WW: Since most of the photos originally appeared in other blog posts, I provided links back to the original posts, where applicable.

I had wanted to do it this morning, but I was already running late for the walking tour of Red Hook, Brooklyn, about which I hope to post something later tonight. I took over 500 photos, so it's going to take some time to edit them down!

The heirloom garden is a work in progress. If you have any questions about it, please let me know!

I love the way you are tying all of this together, Xris... I can't wait to see the finished result!
