The return of cooler weather should slow the pace, now.

MBT: Thanks! These are growing in drifts, and they were still blooming when I visited yesterday afternoon. I'd love to have some of these in my backyard native plant garden.

BVIV: Seclusion has its admirers. Yesterday afternoon this garden was makeout central. Most disconcerting.

The rails along the paths are at the right height to serve as a low, if not restful, seat. I don't know if this garden has ever had benches. I think the intent is to keep it as wild-looking as possible. It's the only garden at BBG that has not been disturbed since its creation, nearly 100 years ago.Chris Kreussling (Flatbush Gardener)https://www.blogger.com/profile/08467595231097695124noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-14731145.post-89307997843108812792009-04-29T09:13:00.000-04:002009-04-29T09:13:00.000-04:00The Native flora garden is so peaceful, and it's o...The Native flora garden is so peaceful, and it's one of the less visited areas. If I remember correctly, there aren't any benches along the walkway. Is that for a reason, or was it just not deemed necessary? Do you know?BestViewInBrooklynhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00020026181975097401noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-14731145.post-51351835648493024382009-04-27T23:43:00.000-04:002009-04-27T23:43:00.000-04:00Nice photo tour, I especially like the Dutchma's B...Nice photo tour, I especially like the Dutchma's Breeches pic.MrBrownThumbhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11326733084344581944noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-14731145.post-70277844363166028472009-04-27T22:26:00.000-04:002009-04-27T22:26:00.000-04:00Looks nice, I should go see.Looks nice, I should go see.Frankhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02554893883207752597noreply@blogger.com
