Spring has Sprung

The first Spring flowers bloomed today in my yard. This is Crocus chrysanthus, I believe, growing in the lawn in front of the house.

I love the disintegrating buttonballs in the background.

Yeah, I didn't "stage" this shot, except to remove a branch from the field of view. Those are from the London Plane Tree that's the street tree in front of my house.

I saw snowdrops on Rugby and Dorchester yesterday. So pleased to see your crocuses!

Snowdrops (Galanthus sp.) bloom earlier than even these Crocus, but I don't have any yet in my garden. I've seen in bloom at the Brooklyn Botanic Garden for the past two weeks.

I'll be on the lookout for those Snowdrops!

There are lots of snowdrops in our front garden (formerly your front garden) on 5th St. - I love it when they break forth from the snow. Stop over and take a look.
