Field Trip: Brooklyn Botanic Garden, April 23, 2006

I thought I had previously blogged these photos, but I couldn't find the blog post. So I'm posting it where I can find it again!

[I would have preferred to back-date these photos to April 23, 2006, the date of the visit, but "new" Blogger doesn't seem to allow that.]

This is what we can look forward to in another six weeks or so in the Brooklyn Botanic Garden.

All of that is in bloom right now? Makes me feel silly getting so excited over my little hellebore. :)

Well, I'm excited about your hellebore, so I don't see why you shouldn't be.

When the roof is done and I'm able to restore the soil on the shady north side of the house, I will have my hellebores. I might even squeeze a couple into the heirloom garden in front of the house.

And no, I'm afraid this is how the BBG looked in April of last year. Just something to look forward to for this year!

I always like field trips! These colors are a treat for the eyes! Still beautiful this year, next year...whenever.
